We were founded in 2025 with the goal of breaking the monopoly held by Xcel Energy on energy production and distribution in the City of Boulder.  We are working to create a public utility that will give the people of Boulder the power to determine how energy is produced and purchased locally.

We are also seeking changes in local permitting laws that create barriers to locally owned and operated resilience hubs and smart grids.
